Gypsum
Gypsum (Calcium Sulfate - CaSO4) is one of those rare materials that performs in all three categories of soil treatment: an amendment, conditioner, and fertilizer.
This is added to soil to:
-Increases the ability of soil to soak water.
-Break up heavy clay soils.
-Promote better drainage and air circulation.
-Supplement calcium and sulfur without changing soil pH levels.
*Gypsum is also used in water treatment plants, animal bedding to absorb moisture, and additive to compost.

Sugar Lime is added to soil to:
-Increase the soils pH levels.
-Makes the soil less acidic and more alkaline.
Dolomite Lime is to soil to increase magnesium.
Even though lime includes calcium and magnesium, which are essential nutrients for healthy plant growth, it is not a substitute for fertilizer.
